He became 47.
The reason of his suicide may sound quite strange to you and me, afterall it IS a devastating and pretty drastic measure to take;

His beloved pitbull-puppy Rico wasn't allowed in Nick's apartmentbuilding anymore, after they'dtighten the houserules there.
In his Goodbyenote Nick wrote, he felt he had betrayed his dog, by having to give him up(away, for that matter), and that an animal shouldn't have to go through such things, and he'd be comforted by the thought of being reunited soon with his pet - for both will be cremated @ the same time.

Well, sorry to say, but isn't that THE ultimate betrayal and kinda selfish, to take the dog's life too , just because YOU can't handle Goodbye's and losses very well?.
I mean, if that pitbull could express him/her-self it would certainly speak up for itsself, or @ least show off it's best pitbull bitestrength!.

Last night I watched a documentary about seventies glamrockgroup The Sweet,
the rise & fall, esspecially from leadsinger Brian Conelly, who died in the nineties after a decade of sex-drugs & rock & roll, but alcohol really finished him off in the end.
It was startling to see a mere shadow of himself, trembling all over and just recovering from 18(!)heartattacks in a row.

They actually had real talented voices and musical skills , all four of them:

Once you've seen this freaky nature's event in real life, you're sold, for sure.

Not only green but even hellish pink blue red and deep purple!.
That and the combination with crispy white snow and not a human sound in sight for dozens of miles makes one feel really freakin' special yet small in the big scheme of thangs..

One of Discovery News' favorite photographs of the weekend was taken by Bjørn Jørgensen, showing an incredible explosion of color in the sky over Grøtfjord, near the North Norway city of Tromsø (pictured above). The night before, he captured an aurora over the coastal village of Sommarøy ("Summer island"), also close to Tromsø.

As the solar plasma of the CME hit our magnetosphere, the powerful global magnetic field funneled energetic particles down toward the Polar Regions. As the particles (mainly protons) impacted our atmosphere, light erupted from the collisions. Jørgensen was there to capture this amazing view.

1) The dormouse, a little rodent species you'll find in Britain, hibernate in the winter in nests they hide on the ground.

2) The dormouse spends up to one-third of its life in hibernation, and typically begin that winter "sleep" when the first frost hits, and their food sources are gone.

3) They loose about a quarter of their body weight during hibernation.

4) The word "dormouse" comes from the Anglo-Norman dormeus, which means "sleepy (one)"

This band is Dutch and I saw a few songs performed live yesterday.
I was pleasantly surprised by their quality, and now I'm already a bit of a fan of them.

2012 seems to become THE year that politicians and private corporation want to heavily strike @ us endusers regarding legal downloads and copyrights-infringements.
This case baffled me today!:

- "In a bizarre ruling, an English court has ruled that in favor of a commercial poster company that argued that a photo that showed a similar (but different) scene taken by a different person in a different place nevertheless infringed the copyright of a poster. What the judge ruled was that photographing a scene that is "substantially similar" to a scene someone else has already photographed infringes the first shooter's copyright.

The judge here ruled that the idea of the image was the copyright, not the image itself. Ideas have always been exempt from copyright, because courts and lawmakers have recognized the danger of awarding ownership over ideas. Indeed, the "idea/expression split" is pretty much the first thing you learn in any copyright class".

Blue Marble 2012 uses the latest data from NASA's newest Earth-observing satellite: Suomi NPP. It's made from several passes taken on January 4, 2012 using the satellite's Visible Infrared Imager Radiometer Suite instrument (VIIRS).

Created by Berlin-based design studio The Product, this set of three unique turntables was built for the premiere of Volkswagen's new Beetle at the 2011 IAA motor show. Instead of vinyl, it uses discs with concentric geometric patterns to produce music.

While the patterned discs sit below a glass surface where they endlessly spin, the turntable's arms are still accessible, and can be placed anywhere over the discs. The needle at the end of the arm, which is typically used to play or scratch vinyl records, was replaced with an optical sensor that detects the patterns on each disc. As they're detected, they're turned into electronic music through a piece of software called "Ableton Live".

WINTER GARDENS, Calif. -- A 10-year old boy has been charged with murder and assault in the fatal stabbing of his 12-year old playmate.
It happened Monday on a driveway in the 12500 block of Royal Road in the unincorporated Winter Gardens area, near El Cajon. The younger child allegedly stabbed the older boy in the chest about 1:15 p.m.

The suspect was undergoing therapy and taking prescription drugs for his behavioral issues, according to neighbors.

"They had just changed his medication about two or three weeks ago,'' Richeson told KGTV.

Popular file-sharing website megaupload.com gets shutdown by U.S Justice - FBI and charged its founder with violating piracy laws. Four Megaupload members were also arrested. The FBI released a press release on its website which you can view here:
